| Course Objectives: | To introduce the basic characteristics of medical devices and medical supplies and to provide fundamental knowledge about their use in healthcare services. |
| Course Content: | This course covers the definition, classification, purposes of use, and importance of medical devices and medical supplies in healthcare services. The course includes: General medical supplies Wound care and patient care products Diagnostic devices (e.g., glucometer, blood pressure monitor, stethoscope, thermometer) Examination tools and instruments Personal care products Medical equipment used in hospitals Oral and dental care products Materials used in physical therapy and rehabilitation Mobility aids and orthopedic products First aid materials and occupational health and safety equipment Maternal and infant care products Sterilization and disinfection practices Medical products used in clinical branches (obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, respiratory care, dialysis, and surgery) |
