Course Objectives and Content

Course Objectives: Ensuring the development of knowledge and skills on infection control and prevention in health services by internalising the epidemiology, transmission routes and prevention strategies of infectious diseases
Course Content: Introduction to epidemiology and infectious diseases, Infection chain (infection agent, source of infection, exit gate, transmission routes, entry gate and spread to the body), Nasocomial infections-I (definitions, types of nasocomial infections), Nasocomial infections -II (types of nasocomial infections-continuation), Surgical site infections Microorganisms that are common in the hospital and cause infections, Transmission routes and prevention of infectious diseases, The place of health workers in hospital infections, risks, infection control committee and isolation precautions, Asepsis, antisepsis, decontamination, disinfection and sterilisation, Notifiable diseases

12) Prepares medications under the supervision of a specialist and provides information on their use.
13) Knows the drugs that need to be written on special prescriptions (purple, orange, red and green prescriptions) and the procedures related to these prescriptions.
