| Course Objectives: | Sports massage is a crucial technique used to enhance athletic performance, prevent injuries, and expedite recovery. This course aims to teach students the techniques of sports massage, help them understand its anatomical and physiological foundations, and develop the skills to design appropriate massage applications tailored to athletes' needs. |
| Course Content: | History and importance of sports massage; anatomical and physiological foundations of massage techniques; types of massage applied before, during, and after sports; the role of massage in sports injuries; effects of massage on circulatory, nervous, and muscular systems; oils and massage tools; sports massage techniques (effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, friction); ethical principles and professional practices; applications of sports massage in various sports disciplines. |
