Course Objectives and Content

Course Objectives: Technology plays an increasingly crucial role in shaping global power dynamics, democracy, security, and societal structures. From autonomous weapon systems and cyber warfare to digital disinformation and AI governance, technological advancements are transforming political and economic landscapes. This course explores the political, economic, social, and security implications of emerging technologies and cyberspace in contemporary world politics.
Course Content: Understanding these trends requires analyzing the intersection of technology and politics, including topics such as cybersecurity, disinformation, artificial intelligence, surveillance capitalism, and digital or cyber sovereignty. This course critically examines these issues by integrating insights from International Relations, Political Science, Critical Security Studies, and Political Economy.

1) To be able to develop and deepen their knowledge in the same or a different field at the level of expertise based on undergraduate level qualifications. To be able to comprehend the interdisciplinary interaction related to the field.
