Sports and Social Life

We plan the spare times of our students further to academic intensity, by means of culture, sports, art, career, personal development activities, particularly by activating student clubs. Our students are at all times at the focus of such activities. We conduct and perform all of our activities jointly. We aim and target to make our students’ academic lives qualified, pleasurable and productive. We target to make colorful and permanent touches to their living portraits through memories compiled during activities of the students.

We attempt and yearn that any of our students meeting with our University be and become competent, well-equipped and conscious individuals in respect of social, cultural, artistic, bodily and personal development further and in addition to their academic infrastructure as from the first course in the classroom.

Health, Culture and Sports Directorate, established to serve the aforesaid purpose is supporting, promoting and guiding students’ social, cultural, artistic as well as sportive activities, including activities in any and all areas of interest. Our students realize the activities in areas they are interested, under student clubs founded by coming together and to this effect, such clubs existing over a wide range, continue with their activities under surveillance of Health, Culture and Sports Directorate. At present, we have 41 clubs of academic, cultural-artistic and sportive context.

Our sports teams consisting of our students are competing in leagues organized by Turkish University Sports Federation as well as Turkish Championship contests. Our sports teams taking part in the sports organizations by NGO’s and private entities, further present such sportive activities like trekking, cycling, camping and rafting through the Sports Club and Nature Sports Club.

The basic philosophy in respect of such dynamic process generated by and between the Health, Culture and Sports Directorate and the students comprises of bringing students together with training activities in parallel to their interests, skills, tendencies and career objectives further and in addition to their academic development in the period elapsing from the preparatory class up till graduating from the university and generating an intra-university intellectual climate upon making their university life more colorful, entertaining and pleasurable.
