Theoretical - Conceptual
1) Gain the knowledge of the basic structure of the human body, definitions and terms of its organs and systems, settlement, neighborhood and functioning.
2) Knows the working areas and operations of medical laboratories.
3) Defines and implements the procedures for accepting, analyzing, reporting and reporting results of samples received by medical laboratories.
4) Have knowledge of laboratory hygiene, safety and waste management issues.
2 - Skills
Cognitive - Practical
1) Have the ability to apply the knowledge and necessary precautions related to environmental health and waste management in medical laboratory applications.
2) Effectively uses analysis methods for the data needed for diagnosis (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, etc.).
3) Knows the safety precautions and personal safety rules that must be followed in the medical laboratory and creates a safe working environment in the laboratory.
3 - Competences
Communication and Social Competence
1) Gain awareness of social rights, ethical and social responsibilities.
2) Gain communication competence in English at least A2 level in line with the European Language Framework (Communication competence in English is at least B1 level in programs where medium of instruction is English).
3) Be aware of written, verbal, visual communication, and interaction, and they communicate effectively.
4) Gain the competence of analyzing, evaluating, criticizing, suggesting viewpoints and solutions.
5) Follow digital transformation as well as use information and communication technologies.
6) Accept cultural diversity as a universal value.
Learning Competence
1) Gain the ability of being open to scientific and technical developments and learning.

Field Specific Competence
1) Have the ability of laboratory chemistry/biology and calculation, solution preparation.
2) Evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired in the field with an entrepreneurial approach.
3) Prepares the necessary solutions for conventional and automated methods prior to analysis.
4) Applies basic analyses related to different sections of medical laboratories.
5) Uses the tools and equipment used in the medical laboratory in accordance with the rules and techniques, and ensures that they work efficiently by checking and maintaining them.
6) Gain knowledge on sampling, acceptance/rejection criteria, transfer for medical laboratory tests and gains the ability to apply basic tests.
