| Course Objectives: | Understanding the content and importance of inclusive education; To know the legal basis of inclusive education, national and international legislation; understanding the roles of teachers required by inclusive education; acquiring the attitudes and values required for inclusive education; preparing an inclusive school and classroom environment; Prepare an action plan for inclusive education; to be able to plan teaching in accordance with the characteristics of students and to choose inclusive course materials and activities. |
| Course Content: | Inclusiveness and content of inclusion; inclusive education: definition, content and importance; legal basis of inclusive education; national and international legislation; approaches and standards in inclusive education; teacher roles in inclusive education; inclusive curriculum and materials; attitudes and values in inclusive education; inclusive school and classroom; preparing an action plan for inclusive education; inclusive education practices: characteristics that differentiate students, effective communication, language used, psychosocial support, differentiation and examples of teaching, methods and techniques, planning teaching, inclusiveness in course materials and selection of inclusive activities; lesson design applications. |
