Fenerbahçe University considers its students as inseparable and authentic individuals of its academic community. In this context, Fenerbahçe University has always adopted it as a duty and responsibility to provide opportunities within and outside the university so that students can learn more and make research freely by questioning. This approach is a joint effort of Fenerbahçe University's students and academy.
Fenerbahçe University designs programs to raise young people who have deep knowledge and professional competence with their academic and professional knowledge in their fields, can freely think and express, respect their thoughts, understand the value of lifelong learning, have high self-confidence, develop communication and interaction skills, internalize ethical values, always protecting the values of the universe and people and to strengthen the employability of these young people and give importance to all extracurricular learning with lesson plans that allow professional and intellectual development at all levels.
Among the prominent features of the programs with this education and training approach, the following can be listed:
- Particularly placing area and non-area elective courses within 120/240/300 ECTS value,
- Recommending elective courses in the thematic areas of "Social Sciences", "Sports, Health and Nutrition" and "Natural Sciences and Design",
- Supporting interaction with different cultures in academic and social context by allowing students to choose elective courses at the university level,
- Offering one of three different world languages other than Turkish and English within the scope of elective courses and ensuring that the student has basic knowledge,
- Contributing to the awareness of students with the compulsory seminar course at the undergraduate level titled "University Life and Culture",
- Structuring the second year of the program at the associate degree level with internships and similar professional practices,
- Including compulsory and optional internships and similar professional practices in advanced classes at the undergraduate level,
- Ensuring that the students graduate from the English preparatory program with at least B2 level knowledge,
- Supporting the acquisition of key/transferable competencies through the “Social Responsibility Project” course,
- Developing Turkish language competencies by structuring the Turkish course differently for national and international students.
