Exam Regulations, Assessment & Grading

The measurement and evaluation processes in the Department of New Media and Communication at Fenerbahçe University are carried out in accordance with the Fenerbahçe University Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Education and Training Regulation. All practices are grounded in the principles of transparency, fairness, consistency, and accountability. Students are assessed and graded under the provisions set forth in Articles 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 of the Regulation. For each course, the weighting of midterm, final, and semester-based assessments is predetermined and recorded by the course instructor through the OIS system. Standard answer keys are used for all written examinations, while clearly defined and measurable evaluation criteria are applied to alternative assessment methods such as assignments, projects, and presentations. In courses classified as Continuous Assessment Components—including the Graduation Project, Internship, and Community Service Project—measurement and evaluation processes are conducted in alignment with relevant regulations and are structured to ensure coherence with program learning outcomes and student competencies.
